1. Purpose

We know that you care how information about you and your company is used and shared and we are committed to protecting your privacy. As used in the Privacy Policy and in addition to the other terms defined in this Privacy Policy, the following terms have the indicated meanings:

  • ”Visitor” means a person, other than a Registered User, who accesses that portion of the Website that is accessible without entering a username and password;
  • “Registered User” means a person who has registered on behalf of his or her self and the company that he or she represents in order to access and use content provided to Registered Users via the Website;
  • “we,” “us,” “our” and “Hunt Valve” means Hunt Valve Company, Inc.;
  • “you” and “your” means a Visitor or a Registered User, as applicable; and
  • “User Information” means individually or collectively, the Registration Information, the Tracking Information, Cookie data, and any other information you provide to us via the Website.

2. What information do we collect and how do we use it?

A. Registration Information. In order to request information via the Website, to respond to special offers, or to become a Registered User on the Website, you may first be required to register and submit to Hunt Valve contact information and certain other information about you and the company that you represent (collectively, “Registration Information”). We may use the Registration Information to communicate to you: (i) new and modified services offered by Hunt Valve and other businesses; (ii) special offers made available by Hunt Valve and other businesses; and (iii) other commercial information that we believe will interest you.

B. Tracking Information. When you access the Website, we capture, record and retain general data about your use of the Website including, without limitation, your domain name, your Internet protocol (IP) address, the name and location of the web page from which you entered the Website, the locations you visit within the Website and the amount of time you spend on each page of the Website (collectively, “Tracking Information”). We use Tracking Information to help administer, update, and enhance the Website.

C. Cookies. “Cookies” are pieces of data sent from a web server to a web browser that enable a web server to identify users that visit a website hosted by the server. We use Cookies to identify Visitors and Registered Users on the Website so that we can provide you more customized information and services. F. Aggregate Data. In addition to any other uses described in this Policy, you agree that we may extract and use information from your Registration Information for the purpose of creating Aggregate Data (as defined below). “Aggregate Data” means: a set of Registration Information comprised of any number of Registered Users in an aggregated form only, that does not specifically identify any individual Registered Users and that is not intended to disclose any information that is personally identifiable to an individual Registered User. You agree to allow us, for any internal and/or commercial purposes, to use, develop, analyze, exploit, combine, and extract Aggregate Data, and to disclose and publish Aggregate Data to any party through any means.

3. Does Hunt Valve share your Registration Information?

Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we are not in the business of selling it to others. We share Registration Information only with third-party vendors that we work with and as described below:

A. Complementary Service Providers: We may work with service providers that we do not control (“Service Providers”) in order to expand the information we are able to offer you on the Website. In some cases, you may not be aware that Service Providers are involved. You authorize us to share your Registration Information with Service Providers in relation to their services so long as their policies regarding use of your Registration Information are no less restrictive than Hunt Valve’s Privacy Policy. In the event that you expressly choose to use a Service Provider’s services offered through the Website, then you authorize us to disclose your Registration Information to that Service Provider in accordance with the terms of your express agreement.

B. Promotional Offers: We, or third-party vendors that we work with, may use your Registration Information to communicate: (i) new and modified services and features offered by us and other businesses; and (ii) special offers made available by us and other businesses (collectively, the “Unsolicited Marketing Offers”). We may share your Registration Information and responses to questionnaires and surveys with other businesses who offer products and services that are complementary to our services. If you do not want us to share your Registration Information with other businesses and if you do not want to receive Unsolicited Marketing Offers, then you should choose to “opt out” during the registration process (where applicable) or contact us according to Section 7 below and request to opt out from receiving Unsolicited Marketing Offers. Upon receipt and processing of an opt out request, Hunt Valve and third-party vendors that we work with will not send you further Unsolicited Marketing Offers and we will request other businesses that we may have previously provided your Registration Information to do the same.

D. Business Transfers: We may sell some or all of our assets in connection with a reorganization or sale of our business. Your Registration Information could be a part of these transferred assets.

E. Protection of the Website and others: We will release your Registration Information when we believe release is appropriate (i) to comply with laws or regulations; (ii) in response to judicial process; (iii) for the enforcement of any agreement we may have with you; or (iv) for the protection of rights, property, or safety of Hunt Valve or others.

F. With your consent: Other than as set out above, you will receive a notice when your Registration Information might be sent to third parties, and you will have an opportunity opt out.

4. What security measures are taken regarding the Website?

We have taken precautions to protect the Website data and information under our control from misuse, loss, or alteration. We deploy administrative, technical, and physical security measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risks related to the Website. Our security measures include industry standard technology and equipment to help protect your Registration Information. Unfortunately, no system can ensure complete security and we encourage you to take steps to protect your information and transmissions. You must decide the security measures that are appropriate for you; however, common examples are keeping your login identification and password secure and making sure you completely log out when you have finished using the Registered User section of the Website.

5. How do you access and correct your information?

You can access your Registration Information by contacting us in accordance with Section 7 below. If you believe there are factual errors in such information, you may contact us in accordance with Section 7 and specify the alleged errors. We will make reasonable efforts to verify and correct any factual errors within a reasonable amount of time.

You may also request that we delete all information stored for marketing purposes, including your IP address. To make a request for deletion, please contact us in accordance with Section 7 below. Hunt Valve reserves the right to continue using the deleted stored information for any lawful basis, which includes customer collection purposes.

6. What if our policy changes?

We will post all changes to our Privacy Policy here so you may always become aware of what information we collect, use and disclose. If at any point we decide to use or disclose your Registration Information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify you by way of an e-mail or a notice posted on the Website. Your use of the Website after such a notice is posted is deemed to be acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

7. How long can we store your User Information?

We may store your User Information indefinitely for our business records and as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, but in no case longer than 7 years.

10. Privacy Provisions for Individuals Located in Europe

A. EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”): While Hunt Valve does not operate within the European Economic Area (“EEA”), we may, under some circumstances collect data from individuals located in the EEA. Personal information that may be collected by us from a Data Subject in the EEA may include:

  • Name
  • Shipping Address
  • Email Address

Additionally, information that we collect may be transferred outside of the EEA, including to countries, such as the United States, which have not been deemed as having “adequate” security measures by the European Commission.

B. Lawful grounds to process and obtain consent: Data subjects whose personal information is collected in the EEA may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis for processing his/her information. Should a data subject withdraw consent for processing or otherwise object to processing that impedes Hunt Valve’s ability to comply with applicable regulations, a data subject may be unable to avail him/herself of the services that Hunt Valve provides.

C. Data subjects’ rights: Hunt Valve operates as a data controller under the GDPR. As such, all individuals whose personal information is held by Hunt Valve have the right to:

  • ask what information Hunt Valve holds about them and why;
  • ask for a copy of such information or access to such information;
  • be informed how to correct or keep that information up to date; and
  • be informed on how Hunt Valve is meeting its data protection obligations.

Furthermore, for data collected in the EEA, data subjects have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of such information to be sent to a third party;
  • ask for data to be erased if possible and required under the GDPR;
  • ask for processing of personal information to be restricted if possible and required under GDPR;

  • object to automated decision-making where applicable; and
  • contact a supervisory authority in the EEA to lodge a complaint regarding Hunt Valve’s processing of your personal information.

D. Automated decision-making: Hunt Valve does not intentionally or knowingly engage in automated decision-making of any kind.

E. Non-disclosure of information: Hunt Valve does not share any personal information with any nonaffiliated third parties, except in the following circumstances:

  • as necessary to provide the service that the customer has requested or authorized, or to maintain and service the customer’s account;
  • as required by regulatory authorities or law enforcement officials who have jurisdiction over Hunt Valve and its affiliates or as otherwise required by any applicable law; and
  • to the extent reasonably necessary to prevent fraud and unauthorized transactions.

Hunt Valve personnel are prohibited, either during or after termination of their employment, from disclosing personal information to any person or entity outside Hunt Valve, including family members, except under the circumstances described above. An employee is permitted to disclose personal information only to such other employees who need to have access to such information to deliver our services to the customer.
